The Day of the Fair -- February 9, 2008

8:00 to 8:30 a.m.	Check in and set up. Need directions?
9:00 a.m.	Judging begins. Students and visitors are welcome to view the exhibits at this time, but please do not distract children during judging!
~ 11:30 a.m.	PHAA Oral Presentations. Some high school students enrolled in PHAA will be giving their oral presentations to fulfill their public speaking requirement. All visitors are welcome to listen in!
12:00 p.m.	Lunch break.
1:00 p.m.	Science demonstrations and lab tours given by Villanova faculty.
2:00 p.m.	Awards ceremony. All ribbons and prizes will be awarded at this time.
3:00 to 4:00 p.m.	GPHSF is open to the public. Students should stand next to their exhibits to answer questions during public viewing.

Science Fair Rules:

Parents and visitors:
- will be allowed in the project display area during the fair,
- may not be present while a project is being judged,
- must keep an eye on their young children to make sure these rules are followed.
The decision of the judges is final. The same judging criteria are used for all projects. (View judging criteria for general science projects or engineering & computer science projects.)
All exhibits must be removed by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the fair. Exhibits not removed will be discarded.
In keeping with International Rules and Guidelines, the Science Fair Committee reserves the right to refuse the display of any item which it deems potentially hazardous or disruptive, including but not limited to:

	Any liquid – including water – in an open container
	Flames or highly combustible materials
	Dangerous, sharp, unstable, or poisonous materials
	Living organisms, including plants
	Human or animal food
	Human or animal body parts or bodily fluid
	Batteries with open-top cells
	Laboratory or household chemicals

Electricity will not be available at the fair.
An identification number will be assigned to each project when it is checked in.
